Rich and Mary have been our lifelong friends and Richard’s passing will leave a void that simply cannot be filled. Richard’s friendship was understanding, comforting, supportive, non judgmental and loving. He was always “all in for his friends. He was a good man, a very good man, a very good family man.He was committed and dedicated to what he believed in and that was shown so deeply in his commitment to become a deacon. He will be so missed. Our deepest condolences to Mary, Jenn, Peter and Lauren and to the grandchildren.Richard you have found your reward. Please pray for all of us.With our deepest regrets,Walter and Marilyn Poggi
Words won’t convey the lifetime of memories I have. Mr. Janiec you teased all the time but were also so sincere. Gruff and yet gentle. A taskmaster us kids were happy to do his bidding for – even after we grew up – because we knew you were a generous, happy & caring soul. Thank you Mr. J for leaving your mark on my life – crazy trips to the glopita-glopita (how do you spell that anyway?), Saturday errands with swerve attacks, ‘sucking wind’ on the Soccer field and more recently your support and help during difficult times and always a place to belong for holidays and celebrations. You will be missed by many. Mosey
It is perhaps unusual for Rich’s wife to be offering condolences, but my heart has already started the healing process watching the faces of our two amazing children, our daughter-in-law, our wonderful extended family and all our friends, especially our ‘Angels ‘ who did so very much to support and help us through this long and difficult journey. I feel so sad for you too. Richie touched so many hearts. He was the type of guy nobody could dislike. As my heart grew heavier and heavier watching him suffer physically and in that great heart that held so much love for all of us, his courage, determination and ability to persevere ( may not have known how to read it, but he definitely knew how to DO it) while staying upbeat, never complaining or ‘ why me- ing ‘ it was what helped me persevere! Thank you all for your kindness and support, and for loving him and never giving up on him!! He, our kids, daughter-in-law and three precious grandchildren are what made it a privilege and joy to help him keep going. He was the sunshine of my life, and will always be.
We Extend our deepest sympathies to the Janiec family. Richard was a man for all season’s. May the soul of Deacon Richard be at peace with our heavenly Father.
Dcn Richie you were a humorist Christ lover, life love and people lover. Your love of wife and family will always remain prominent with your children. We will always remember the wedding we attended with you and with fondness the times we spent with you and Mary. May the good Lord keep you in the palm of His hand. Sonny & Sue
