  8. I am deeply saddened to hear this news. I lived with Dena and her family for a couple of years back in 1992. We were 22 yrs old with our whole lives ahead of us. I was in college at Stony Brook, NY, living off campus at their house in East Setauket. What started as a logistical convenience became more like a 2nd family to me during very impressionable years. Dena became like a sister. She was a beautiful, spirited, funny, and sweet girl who was so filled with life and an infectious smile that would brighten any room. She brought so much fun into my world (probably too much when I should’ve been focused more on studying Lol). We were balance for each other and her mom always said I was her angel, sent by God. (I think her mom liked that I helped her settle her spunk down just a bit and she became more serious about her future∩┐╜) I know a few of my fb friends knew her, so here is her funeral information if you are still living there. Dena is my first close friend, not an acquaintance, who has passed away. She has a husband and 4 kids. This news is surreal and so very sad, opening a flood of emotions and memories. Rest in Peace my beautiful friend, Dena Sandalis≡ƒÆû

  9. My thoughts and prayers are with DenaΓÇÖs family.I heard about this sad news yesterday. Dena and I were friends back in Jr high and High school. I have many funny and crazy memories with her. My heart breaks that someone so young could be taken away like this. SheΓÇÖll always be with you. God bless her family. RIP dear old friend.
