Denise Guida

denise guida

We regretfully announce the passing of Denise Guida (age 72) born August 8, 1949 from Nesconset, NY who passed unexpectedly on May 10, 2022.

Denise was caring and vibrant, she lit up a room when she entered. She loved children and began her career as an LPN in Pediatrics. While she did not experience the joy of her own children, many children were later able to experience the joy of Denise. She gave her heart and love to the many children she adored and nannied over the years, as well as her own nephews and large network of extended family.

She cared for her Labrador Retrievers (Callie, Emma, Rosie and Grace) unconditionally, as much as any mother could. She loved all things ducks and especially the duck pond. Her laugh was as contagious as her upbeat nature. She will be missed most by her partner in life, Peter Clark, her Nephew’s Thomas and Robert Guida along with her eldest nephew Nick Guida who preceded her in death, Great Nieces and Nephews Nick, Emily, Christian and Reagan, The Gioia and Cuccurullo Families, Danielle Giffuni, The Ebbecke Family, Brittney, Nicholas, and Vinnie Clark as well as her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Marcie Guida as well as her brother Nick.

There will be a viewing for all who want to pay respects at Branch Funeral Home in Smithtown, NY on Saturday May 14, 2022 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

  3. candleOur deepest condolences to you Peter Clark and Denise’s family and friends including Denise’s fur baby Grace. Denise, your loving heart was a such a joy to experience. Your big smile and warmth , whenever we saw you, was always welcoming and endearing. May you Rest In Peace Cuz….see you after The Return. I Thessalonians 4:13….. Love, Eileen and Gary

  4. Forever in our hearts, dear Denise. Thank you for being such an amazing and kind person. Give my pop pop, nana, aunt ragna and uncle Frank big hugs and kisses from me.

  5. candleIn the short time you were in our lives your presence made a big mark. You brought so much joy to our son while you watched him. He loved you very much. He always had a big smile when I would say,”who’s coming to see you today” and without hesitation he would yell “Nis-e!”
Thank you for the time you spent with us. Love, Benny and the Carey Family

  6. Deepest sympathy, Peter and Denise’s family. She was a special person who is already sorely missed. I cherish the time we spent together. We laughed, we cried and decided we were “so related”. Her compassion for all and the joy she spread made this world a better place. I will smile and think of her when I eat lobster or see “ clam balls”. Each day as I pass under the sign she gave me, I will say a prayer of thanks that I had the privilege to be her cousin. ♥️

  7. Our hearts and prayers are with the Guida family and Peter Clark at this time- Denise was a beautiful soul- so gentle and kind- we value the years that she spent caring for our daughter with such love and care- and the lifetime of friendship she shared with my mother- she will be greatly missed

  8. My deepest sympathy to Denise s family and her partner Peter Clark. II ,my wife Susan and daughters have such beautiful, heartfelt memories of our dear friend Denise..From teaching her to drive stick in the early days and sharing in her experience as a young nurse at North Shore. And all the years of a special bonded friendship with Susan and listening to their adventures at their Michael Bolton concerts. She was a trusted, warm and oh so loving caregiver to my grandchildren.. It was my privilege to know such a warm giving, loving person and pray that she rests in peace.

  9. My prayers and thoughts are with Peter Clarke and Denise’s family. I will always remember Denise with a beautiful, warm smile on her face! I am grateful for the lifetime of friendship she shared with my mom, Susan, and I am happy to have seen her in recent years during the times she so wonderfully helped care for my children. I wish for her to Rest In Peace and that she is reunited with all those she loved that left before her, including her fur babies.

  10. candleWe all will miss you very much Denise. You were a great loving, funny and caring person, you even made the grouch (Pete) happy, laugh and smile. The memories of having dinner at your house on Sundays with my dad, your mom and you will always be a good time to remember. Especially you jumping up from the table because Emma or Cali would of jumped on the counter and try to eat whatever they can grab in that split second.

  11. Denise, you are such a special person. You touched so many lives. I’m grateful I got to know you.

  12. Lighting a candle for a wonderful person! Thankful for knowing you and sorry you never made it to Iceland! I love you Helga and family! 🇮🇸😘💕

  13. My beautiful friend for so long. You are the sweetest and kindest person I know. Heaven certainly gained a great Angel. Rest in Peace knowing you left so many with your loving memories.

  14. O Lord, grant that our cousin Denise may rest in peace until You awaken her to glory, for You are the resurrection and the life. Amen.
