  1. When I think of Dennis it comes down to three dimensions and then subsections. The first is family. The lines were not blurred for him on who was family. If you were a close friend of the family you were family. If you married into the family and had sister or cousin. That sister or cousin was now family. We never talked much about his daughter. Too raw, too painful, too everything…….
Number two, Dennis was a local 25 electrician. Not local 3 or local 1. Traveled to Alaska for work. Spent time away from his family. Made sure his bosses made money from his labor. Never milked a job. A true union man.
The famous pen collection. He would let you touch, write, put the cap on, take the cap off. These were the Rolls Royce of pens. These pens were made by craftsman. What was amazing was how he could do calligraphy with collection of vintage pens. Just to write a letter to his grandchildren was breath taking. All in one fluid motion. This is where he was the “Rolls in Royce”!
It’s a privilege to have met you. It’s an honor to have known you and your family. I will always cherish our meetings.
