Born in: Glendale, NY
Resided in: Smithtown, NY

Dolores Madeline Bullis, 92, of Smithtown, passed away at home, in the loving arms of her husband and three children, on August 28, 2024 after a long, happy, and fulfilling life.

Dolores was born on March 29, 1932, in Glendale, to Martha and Charles Farber. She lived with her parents and older brother, Leonard Farber, in Glendale and then Levittown. Dolores worked at Grumman Corporation, where she met the love of her life, Bob Bullis, whom she married on October 1, 1960. Together, Dolores and Bob created a beautiful life and home for almost 64 years, where they welcomed three children and five grandchildren who loved her with all of their hearts.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Bob, her children, Carol-Anne, Robert, and Kristine, her grandchildren, Kayla (20), Amanda (18), Jason (16), Malena (15), and Jesse (13), and her sons-in-law, William and Drew. For her family and friends, she leaves behind her legacy of love, kindness, elegance, dedication, and strength. Everything she touched she made beautiful.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization that Dolores supported her entire life and whose mission is to treat and defeat childhood cancer.
