Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Mom was a smart, kind a loving person. She was also an inspiration to all of us, maintaining her independence until just a few years ago. She proved it was never to late to go back to school. When she was in her fifties she took classes after working all day, so that she could improve her position at work. She encouraged us to always keep learning. She had a long and good life and we were lucky to have her with us for so long. Now she is with the Angels and Dad. We love you and miss you Mom.

  2. Dear Mom, You taught me to be loving, faithful, persevering and courageous in the face of adversity. To drink in the natural beauty of Forest Park. I remember how you cared for me when I was sick. Carousel rides, family picnics, Jones Beach Bay, Neapolitan ice cream cones after a day at the beach. Sewing lessons. Togetherness in the kitchen. My tantrums and your forgiveness. Grief I caused you and joy I gave you. You are with me always in the warm memories of a lifetime of love. Virginia

  3. A beautiful, gracious and very classy lady had left us. She was always so supportive and loving and a great inspiration to us all. She was also very special to me as she shared my love of the theatre. I would sometimes see her downtown on the TKTS line during her lunch hour getting tickets for the evenings performance., with a huge smile on her face as she waited in the rain or blistering sun knowing she would be getting a bargain. 🙂 Good-bye Special Lady we will miss you.

  4. Grandma was always happy too see her grand children. She was always kind and as she aged, very funny. She would come out with some doozies. She was a stoic woman and was very forthright with her independence. She was generous and loving. I am going to miss my time with her. And I am going to miss her so much. It is hard to believe she is gone. But I am glad we were with her in her last hours so she would know she was not alone.

  5. I remember, when I was about 7 years old, walking to church one morning with Mom. She was so much taller than I & she walked so fast, I had to struggle to keep up with her. I am sorry that she had to suffer as she did & for as long as she did, but as it said, now she is in a better place. So long, Mom. Everlasting peace be with you.

  6. I have nothing but fond memories of Grandma. She was a family woman who loved to spend time with her children as well as her Grandchildren. She was generous with her warm spirit and funny sense of humor. Even at the end, she still made us laugh. I remember visiting her at Sunrise and a man was going down to the floor to sit. I, the Nurse that I am got up to help. When I went back to my Grandmother, she asked why I pushed him down? We all had a very good laugh! Grandma is missed! I am so happy to have been able to hold her hand at the end and say good bye until we meet again. I am blessed to have been loved and loved this wonderful woman!!
