Dr. Herodotus Damianos, age 82 of Saint James, NY passed peacefully on August 18, 2014.Beloved Husband of Barbara. Loving Father of Alexander(Shari) Damianos, Jason Damianos, Alethea(Kenneth) Damianos-Conroy, Eurydice Damianos and Pindar Damianos.Adored Grandfather of Phaedra, Illiana, Evan and Andrew.

No words can express the depth of our sadness during this difficult time. Dan was such a caring and giving person, and he will be missed by many. He spent a lifetime of giving and we were extremely fortunate to have known him. Our hearts join together with yours to share in your grief. Please count on us is there is anything we can do.

Dan, you will be greatly missed. Your contribution to our industry is huge, but more importantly, your loyal friendship over 30 years will always mean very much to me. The kindnesses and sage advice you gave me in my times of need speaks to the depth of your humanity. Farewell my friend.

Dr. Damianos was a true visionary and a most unique individual – My mother and I stopped by Pindar in the early days – circa 1982 – and Dr. Dan was so warm and friendly – I told my mom ‘this man is going to make some history on LI – he did that and a lot more – God Bless his memory – May it be Eternal –

Dear Barbara, I can truly understand your feelings at this moment. Dan and Fred had great conversations together and I feel are still doing so today in ‘heaven’ a restful place. They are both watching over us. My prayers are with you always.
Alethea, I share your grief. I most enjoyed our time together at all our family gatherings. Your Dad was a generous, kind and gentle man. He loved all five of his children immensely! He will be missed by many.My prayers and love always.
