edythe morrison

August 8, 1939 ~ January 11, 2026

Born in: Queens, New York
Resided in: Nesconset, New York

Edythe was a devoted and deeply caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a loyal friend to many. To know Edythe was to feel instantly welcomed. She had a way of turning strangers into family, often greeting everyone with her signature phrase: “Just call me Grandma.”

She found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family, playing dominoes with friends, getting her nails done, or simply spending time with her loved ones. Creative, crafty, and incredibly funny, Edythe had a way of saying exactly what was on her mind with impeccable comedic timing. Her sharp wit brought laughter to countless moments.

Above all else, she was always there. She was the heart of the family, showing up without hesitation for every big and small moment — college move-ins, doctor appointments, vacations, weddings, graduations, and everything in between. Her love was constant, her support unwavering, and her presence a source of comfort and stability.

Edythe was incredibly strong and resilient. She faced life’s challenges with courage and determination, enduring so much yet always finding her way through to the other side. No matter what she was up against, she met it with perseverance, grace, and an unbreakable spirit.

Edythe shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Eddy, and adored her beloved dog, Archie. She is now reunited with them, held once again in the love that meant so much to her. We know they met her with a glass of Pepsi in one hand and a glass of milk in the other.

Though words can never fully capture how deeply she will be missed, she will be remembered for her laughter, warmth, and the love she gave so freely. She will always remain a bright and comforting presence in the hearts of all who knew her.

Survived by her daughter, Patti and husband John, her son, Ricky and wife Mary, her daughters, Kathy and husband Eric, and Kelly and husband Mario; and her grandchildren, Chris, Frankie, Falynne, Danny, Katie and husband Bret, Vincent and husband Carl, Kevin, Vito and wife Amy, Kerriann and husband Mike, Melanie, and Dylan. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Dalton, Jaylynne, Ciro, Kellan, Myles, Thea, Kai, Lunar, and Amara.

More recently in 2023 our pizza party in Long Island. Precious memories that have enriched my life. I will never forget the welcone you Eddy & the whole family’s gave me. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Margaret, Seamus & Aine also send their condolences.

  2. So sorry for your loss. Remember all the fun times spent together, your mom will always be in your heart ❤️

  3. Rest in peace always, thanks for the memories I shared with your family all the sleep overs when I was young or going to the Mason’s with Kathy. The love you shared with your family was an inspiration to me as a young child and being surrounded by your family and having Kathy as a good friend for over 50 yrs is just a part of the loving kindness you shared with everyone that came into your home, and I will cherish this forever, fly high till we meet again, maybe there is a cloud that is 86 the St , I will see you up there my beautiful friend, you will be missed

  6. candle🦋 My beautiful Mom,
Losing you has left a space in my heart that nothing will ever fill. You were my home, my safe place, and my constant source of love. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye, and I don’t know that I ever could be. Thank you for every sacrifice, every hug, every lesson, and every ounce of love you gave so freely.
I will miss you every day of my life — but I am so grateful I was yours.💔😢
