  5. To a man who clearly lived a life of service. Though I met Mr. Eric only once, it was enough to see the pride, integrity, and kindness he carried. A Marine, a retired NYPD officer, and above all a devoted father—his legacy lives on through his children. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in the honor of his remarkable life. Mr. Eric, I hope you run around Paris, visit Iceland again, drive the 4-wheelers everywhere, and take another trip to the TJ clubs!

    Today we say goodbye, but the memories will remain. For me it will be your unwavering confidence in your beard and hairstyles choices despite the moans and comments from your girls. Forever a dad happy to embarrass his kids.
