Dear Roxana, Emily, Ruben, Evelyn and Mr. Smester, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss.
Mrs. Smester was such a warm person. I have a fond memory of her when I was invited to the house many years ago. I’ll never forget how she made me feel so welcome to be in her home.
Please remember this isn’t the end. She’s sleeping in Jesus right now and when He calls her name, she’ll wake up again.
May the Holy Spirit be close to everyone in the family and provide comfort during this difficult time.
Esperanza was a warm and lovely person.
She will be remembered fondly by those who knew her. We will miss our little chats together.
Our prayers are with you all.
To Evelyn and the whole Smester family, you have my deepest sympathies. May the Holy Spirit grace you with the peace you need in this moment of sorrow and find comfort in the beautiful hope we have as believers that we will be reunited with our loved ones in Heaven.
I personally remember as a young girl , my sleep overs during summer break. What great memories, seem like just yesterday.
Love you all , please know that each one of you are in my prayers. A special kiss and hug for tio Rolando. ❤️🙏🏻
Mis oraciones están para con todos. Dios nos dé fortaleza y consuelo en esta pérdida. Un abrazo fuerte desde la distancia. Los amo. Su hermana Carmen.
Sending my deepest condolences and prayers God will give you strength in the coming days and months.
Personally, we remember when we were children, and the time we spent together during our summer vacations. What good memories, it seems like yesterday.
We love you all, please know that each of you is in our prayers. A special hug and kisses for Tio Rolando who is like a father to us.❤️🙏🏻
I have very fond memories of when we were children, and the time we spent together during our summer vacations.
We love you all, know that each one of you is in my prayers, and I ask God to give you strength to cope with this very painful moment you are going through.
Siempre la recordaré con mucho cariño! Descansa en Paz Tía Epi 🙏❤️
Our deepest condolences on your loss. Titi Epi was the perfect example of what it means to be a wonderful and kind person. Someone so special can never be forgotten. She will always live on in our hearts. May she rest peacefully in God’s embrace. Sending love & prayers to you all. ❤️🙏🏻
As a child in Prospect Church I loved sitting next to Epy and helped her take care of her 2 beautiful older daughters when they were babies. II thought she was so stunning , those eyes! As I got older and talked with her, I realized she was just as beautiful inside. Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel! RIP beautiful Epy. ❤️🙏
An incredible mother, wife, and home-maker.
I loved getting to visit the Wardell home as a teenager. Mrs Wardell kept it filled with kindness , peacefulness, warmth, stability., and Godliness. Not to mention the most delicious food. I am so grateful .
Love and hugs to the beautiful family she created .

Hermano Rolando Smester, Evelyn, Roxana, Ruben, Emily, familia y hermanos,

She was the loveliest person—always kind, affirming, full of fun ideas, and of course, beautiful. Emily became like a sister to me in 8th Grade. I still remember their home phone number because after spending the whole day together at school, we would call each other to keep talking! 😄
When I came back to visit after college, and was dating a Puertorican, who became my husband, I remember her face lighting up as she said, “Es Puertorriqueño? Te quedas con nosotros!”
Epi will always hold a special place in my heart, as will el Hermano Rolando Smester, Evelyn, Roxana, Ruben, and Emily, about whom I could also share many beautiful memories.
Thank you for living a life so well-lived, an example to follow of how to love people like Jesus did.
🙏🏼
