I love you forever
You were a light in our life and will be dearly missed.
You were a part of our extended family. Thank you for the impact that you had on both Ryan and Casey.
We will miss you.
Dearest Francine, ever since that day in 1952 when we were baptized together at Our Lady of the Snows in Floral Park we’ve been close. Being only 5 weeks apart in age, and having brothers only, you were the closest to a sister I had. I cherish those Sunday family dinners we had as kids, alternating between Floral Park and Canarsie. Your family’s moving to Huntington when we were each about 10 meant we’d be geographically further apart, but not so in spirit. Even though it was less frequently than before, visiting the DeGaetano family on far away Long Island was always a highlight. I mean, we didn’t have many pools in Brooklyn that we knew about! I’m sure that in the future we’ll all be enjoying Sunday dinner together, with our family, grandparents, Aunts Mary & Fanny and Uncles Joe & Sal. Until then, rest in peace dear cousin.
We were so sorry to hear about Fran’s passing. She was always fun and a pleasure to be with. She will be missed. Our prayers are with your family. God Bless. Ciro and Lorraine DePalo
You were the best, most loving and doting Nonna to Julian and as a mom, I’m so fortunate my son had you in his life. I’m so heartbroken that he has to lose you and your bright, caring presence. I’ll always work to keep your memories with him fresh in his mind. Please watch over him and keep him safe. He and I will never forget you and what you did for us.
It was devasting to hear Francine got her heavenly wings. You were an Angel on earth. Our deepest condolences to Vinny, Michelle , Vinny Jr and the grandkids. You were a very special lady to us. I will miss our talks. You were loved by all. I know my Mom, welcomed you with open arms. Love you, Terry and Larry.
It is hard to come by words to explain the loss our family feels knowing Francine will not be there with open arms, the best hug, and a smile to warm you upon arrival. We shared vacations, cousin parties going back to the Commack house, weddings, births, etc. We shared life! I loved hearing of your days in Italy with family and the farm to table food. Your vacations with your children and grandchildren in Mexico. I will always think of you when we shared a week in Mexico sitting around the pool chatting away. You have been surrounded by your family and close friends for years and it was heart warming to see how they rallied around you when you needed them most. My deepest condolences to the loves of her life Vinny, Michelle and Vinny Jr. We are filled with a great sadness at your families loss. Ann Marie and Sal
Fran, We knew you for a brief time through my cousins but you always were kind and generous. You always found the positive in everything and everyone. You will be sorely missed.
Fran.. we spent some time with you. We remember your sweet smile and wonderful laugh. Always able to light up the room.
Rest in peace
Dear Vinnie and Family,
Just heard the sad news in July from Bill Butler (Butler-Hughes Funeral Home). Bill and I play together in the Smithtown Community Band. We used to run into each other at the car wash when he was taking care of his van and I, my car.
I didn’t remember Fran from Walt Whitman High School, but she recognized me the second I drove into the Commack Car Wash and became your customer for the next 20 years!
Vinnie came to all of our high school reunions where he insisted on getting me drunk and dancing with me!
I became a regular at Taormina Restaurant on your recommendation. I dine there almost weekly. Peter has retired but Angelo was greatly saddened to hear about Fran’s passing.
Love and wishes,
Charlie Berg
