Francis (Frank) J. Bucchino, age 85, of Ridge, New York died Thursday, January 24, 2019. Frank was born April 27,1933 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late James and the late Louise (LaGuardia) Begina. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. He was employed in Melville, New York as an Electrical Engineer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Ferrara-Bucchino, two loving daughters, Denise Mueller of Little Silver, New Jersey and Doreen Struble of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and four cherished grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Jillian and Jack. He was predeceased by his wife Frances P. Bucchino. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Mark's RC Church, 105 Randall Road, Shoreham, NY. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York. Visiting hours will be Sunday, January 27 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. www.rockypointfuneralhome.com.

Over the past couple days, I have listened to your Grandson Michael Thomas play Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” and thought how much that exemplified you. You certainly did things your way and among those ways was your love and devotion to your family, which I always quietly admired. You will be greatly missed, but your loving spirit will always be present and winesssed in your daughters, Doreen and Denise, and your grandchildren. I have tried to live without many regrets, but one is that I that always called you Frank – now I wished I had called you Dad. So let me start now – Rest In Peace and I love you Dad.
