Frank Nicotina, 82, of Yaphank, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank married his childhood sweetheart, Jacqueline, and together they started their life in College Point. They shared 58 wonderful years of marriage and built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and devotion, raising their three loving daughters, Dawn, Jacqueline, and Denise.
Frank was also a loving father-in-law to Manny, Timothy, and Chris, and a devoted and loving grandfather to Brandon, Paige, Ryan, Matthew, and Thomas. Nothing brought him greater joy than the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He was also loving to his grandchildren’s significant others, Danielle, Rob, and Emily, and adored his great-grandson, Jameson, whom he lovingly referred to as “Champ.” Frank was overjoyed knowing he would soon become a great-grandfather once again to a baby girl.
Frank had a true passion for cars and loved attending car shows, where he made many lasting friendships over the years. His Corvette and Mustang were his prized possessions and brought him immense joy. He also loved spending time at the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
Frank loved listening to doo-wop music and often reflected fondly on his younger years when he sang in a band under the trestle in Astoria, a memory he carried with pride and joy throughout his life.
One of Frank’s most cherished sayings was, “La famiglia è tutto,” meaning “Family is everything,” a phrase he lived by each and every day.
Frank will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and the unwavering love he had for his family. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart, gentle spirit, and steady presence. His family was always his greatest pride and joy.
He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
