Gary D. Brown

Gary D. Brown, age 78, of Shoreham, New York died Thursday, January 18, 2024. Gary was born July 7, 1945 in Queens, New York. He is the son of the late Carlton and the late Adele (Thomas) Brown. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Susan in 2005 and son, Gary in 2018. He was a proud Navy veteran, serving from 1965 to1967. He was employed as a supervisor at Oak Hollow Nursing Home, Middle Island, New York and is a life member of the Rocky Point Fire Department. He is survived by his loving children, Christie (Mario) Capuano of Head of the Harbor, New York and Robert (Nancy) Brown of Shoreham, New York. Gary is also survived by his dear brother, Curt Brown of Rhinebeck, New York. He is also the cherished Papa of ten grandchildren. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 9:00 am for a 10:00 am closing prayer and we will proceed to Calverton National Cemetery for burial with military honors.
