I offer my sincere condolences of the passing of George. I will miss seeing and talking to him at the many bars and restaurants in Bayside. Watching sports (especially the NY Mets and the NY Jets) will never be the same. He was very kind to everyone around him. I pray that George is in heaven and at peace.

A true gentleman, may God welcome you with open arms
Gone to soon 🙏🏻
George and I were friends for over 70 years. He was like a brother to me and a son to my parents. He was a good and decent man of outstanding courage. God Bless him.
My thoughts and prayers🙏 are with his family and friends!! Rest In Peace!!
I worked with George on Football Sundays for many years and it was a pleasure. We had many laughs together. I will miss seeing you in Saratoga. You are a true gentleman but more importantly a good friend. Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed
George was always a lot of fun. A night on Bell Blvd. was not complete if you did not run into George at one of the establishments. RIP George – You will be missed!!!
You will be terribly missed George. You were a great person. I will miss all of of our conversations about the Mets and St. John’s basketball. The world has lost a gem..
George was a good friend to my family and myself. We knew each other from a very young age and had many good times. Although I didn’t see him for long periods, when we did get together it was like old times talking and laughing. I always enjoyed being with him and feel he felt the same. His quick wit and sense of humor was what I liked the most. I can remember things he said a long time ago that made me laugh. Last we talked we were going to try and do something together which I would have enjoyed. Be assured he will be remembered by all those who knew him. I’m going to miss him. Rest in Peace my veteran brother. My condolences to Melanie and family. Steve Mandzik
Semper Fidelis George.
George, you were part of the family. Your friendship touched three generations in my household. My dad, John Kelly who was your very close friend and Belmont buddy. I have many memories of you in my life growing up. You also were there and met my girls, even giving them tips on who to pick for the daily double. You were a class act. A man who worked hard, had fun and a man of faith. You will be missed. Every time I hear the song Under The Boardwalk memories of you singing makes me smile. Until we meet again. Love, Lori Kelly Brown
