Georgene T. Lingen
July 7, 1942 ~ August 12, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of our beloved Georgene Lingen, who left this world peacefully on August 12, 2026. Born on July 7, 1942, in the vibrant heart of New York City to Daniel and Helen Doran, Georgene’s life was a tapestry of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Georgene was a devoted wife to Frank Lingen, sharing an extraordinary 64 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and joy, raising three wonderful children: Christine, Frankie, and Diane. Their family grew to include six cherished grandchildren, ranging in age from 38 to 11, and six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense happiness to Georgene’s life.
As a devoted member of the Catholic Church, Georgene found strength and peace in her faith. Her kind spirit and compassionate nature were felt by all who knew her, and she was often sought after for her wise counsel and attentive ear. Georgene had a zest for life that was evident in her love for travel, reading, solving puzzles, and crocheting beautiful creations for her loved ones.
Throughout her life, Georgene was known for her giving heart. She touched the lives of many with her generosity and gentle spirit, leaving an indelible mark on the community and all who had the privilege to know her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Georgene’s life at Branch Funeral Home in Rocky Point on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8. The funeral service will be on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 9:30AM and will be held at Saint Anthony’s of Padua, located at 614 NY 25-A, Rocky Point, NY. We gather to celebrate the beautiful life she led and the legacy she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Georgene’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Research Association, located in Saint Clair Shores, MI. This gesture will continue Georgene’s legacy of compassion and support for others.
Georgene’s gentle soul and loving presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her husband, Frank, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a sister who will carry her memory forward and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
