Simply the greatest teacher and best friend of her students–as all of us remember. She loved to learn as well as to teach, and was as exuberant in her praise as in her teaching. Just had a slight premonition tonight, and looked up Mrs. Pergolizzi–she had only passed away four days ago. Have never forgotten her, and never will. Rest in peace dear lady, teacher, friend, confidante, and mentor. You have surely earned your rest.
