Thank you for being an amazing man and an amazing friend to my father. I’ll always cherish the memories I’ve shared growing up with you and the family. I will surely miss you and your hearty laughter, Greg. All my love xo
Dear Jeff and family, We are at a loss for words. Our hearts break for you and you family at this time of sorrow and we send you all our sincere and heartfelt sympathy. We hope that in time fond and happy memories will replace the sorrow you are all feeling at this time. We are thinking of you with love, Fran & Bill
To my dear old friend, the times we had and the memories are to numerous to mention. Just know that they were the best times of my life. I hold those memories dear to me, and often recant a tale or two about them. After all the years, they still bring a smile to my face. You will be missed by so many, as you touched many lives along the way. I know that you and Rico are probably thinking up some hijinks right now. When my time comes, I’ll be on my guard!! I will see you again. May God bless you, Richie
I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of knowing Greg. He was a great guy, funny, a gentleman and great father. I’m so sorry for you Helen and the rest of Greg’s family. My Deepest Sympathies…
When we first met you, Greg, we knew you were someone who loved life and loved those in your life. We are fortunate for having known you.Our hugs to you who loved him too, as a husband, father, brother, son and friend.Love and prayers to you all.
Big Guy , you will be missed but never forgotten. There will always be a stool at the counter for you. It’s been an honor to have known you. The last eight years we shared a lot of laughs. The world truly lost a genuinely legitimate great man. You had a talent of brightening a room with your smile. Anyone who knew you will agree that you were the last of the gentle giants. Rest in Peace Big Guy. Vaya con Dios mi’ Amigo Grande.
So deeply saddened to hear of your passing. You were an amazing wonderful caring person. YOu will be missed. Helen, Lauren and boys, Tony and I are so sorry. Sending Love and prayers to all of you.
My heart goes out to the entire Haeffner family ! I am so saddened by the news about Greg and his sudden passing. I have many fond memories of good times spent with Greg. He’ll always be in my heart & prayers ! Rest in peace – my good friend Yumbo !!!!
My condolences for the loss of your loved one. May the sharing of your grief with family and friends help to ease your pain along with the promises of God. At Rev. 21:4 he makes this promise: ‘And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’
I’ve waited a while to do this because it was too hard up to now. As happens all too often, our different lives kept Greg and I from seeing each other as we got older as much as I would have liked. But I enjoyed and will treasure the times we did spend together. When we were young, we went through the typical sibling stuff, but we shared many good times over those years that I will always hold them near to my heart. The stories are too many to tell here, and some are best kept untold! I never told Greg, but I hope he was able to tell, that even though he was the ‘little’ brother, in many ways I looked up to him (and not just because he was so much taller than me!). Besides being one of the kindest, friendliest and most gentle souls I’ve ever known, Greg had a perspective on life that I envied. And based on the tremendous turnout at his memorial, I don’t think that I am the only one that feels that way about Greg. Rest in Peace my beautiful little brother. I will miss you more than you could ever know.
A gentle soul with a kind heart. He was a really cool fellow. Sorry To All. I played soccer with him once and he kicked a fellow, accidentally , further than most people can kick a soccer ball. G-d rest his soul.
