Helen Teresa Kozlowski

Helen Teresa Kozlowski, beloved wife, mother, cherished grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at the age of 91.

Born on February 10, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, to Kostanty and Stefania Banach, Helen lived a life full of love and devotion. She was the loving wife of the late Theodore S. Kozlowski, with whom she shared many wonderful years, and the proud mother of Theodore C. Kozlowski (married to Jeanne) and Carolyn Kozlowski, who sadly predeceased her. She found endless joy in her role as grandmother to Stephen (married to Christina), Katherine (married to David Roberts), and Emily, and great-grandmother to Karina, Remi, and Reece. Helen is also survived by her dear brother, Edward Banach (married to Christine), and their children, Stephen Banach (married to Marjorie), Cynthia Swanton (married to Keith) and Peter Banach (married to Jessica) and their families.

Helen was happiest when she was tending to her garden or cooking for her family and friends with her homemade meals, each prepared with love. Her Polish heritage was a source of great pride, and she passed down cherished traditions and recipes that will continue to be honored by those who knew her.

Helen will be remembered for her devotion, inner strength, and the sparks of joy and feistiness she brought to those around her.

The family will hold a private service to honor Helen’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s memory to Disabled American Veterans.
