December 16, 1943 ~ February 12, 2026

Henry J Chlupsa passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Born on December 16, 1943 in New York City, Henry carried with him the resilience, determination, and spirit that defined his generation. He attended all Catholic schools throughout his childhood ending with Manhattan College alongside his brother, Bob, where they shared a love of basketball. There, he pursued his path into civil and environmental engineering, laying the foundation for a distinguished career and eventually becoming President of Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineering where he spent his entire 50 year engineering career. His professional contributions had a lasting impact on the tri-state area, as he played a role in the development and improvement of many water treatment plants in the area. Through his work, he helped ensure safe, reliable water for countless communities — an enduring legacy that will continue to benefit generations to come.

Henry was known for his steady presence, generous heart, and the way he made others feel welcomed and respected. Whether offering practical advice, lending a helping hand, or sharing a warm smile, his character spoke louder than words. Family was the center of Henry’s world. He took immense pride in being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His guidance was steady, his humor gentle, and his support constant. He celebrated life’s milestones with joy and met its challenges with resilience and grace.

Henry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his commitment to doing things the right way, and the example he set for those around him. He believed in showing up, for his loved ones, for his responsibilities; and he did so faithfully. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Tara; his son, Ryan; his son-in-law, Paul; his daughter-in-law, Loriann; his cherished grandchildren, Hunter and Madeline; and step-grandchildren, James, Luke and Martin. They, along with extended family and friends, will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Though he will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught and the love he shared will continue to guide those who knew him. A life well lived. A man well loved. May Henry rest in peace.
