Jack Albert Scheifele died peacefully surrounded by his family on July 3, 2019 in New York, NY at the age of 73.He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Anita Urbas Scheifele. He was the loving father of Todd Scheifele and his wife, Marcie Judges Scheifele and the cherished grandfather of Coraline Scheifele. He was the devoted brother to Margaret (Scheifele) Seyka and her husband Donald Seyka of Williamsburg, VA.Jack was born on November 1, 1945 in Queens, NY to Jacob and Katherine Scheifele. He graduated from The State University of New York College at Buffalo in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and in 1972 with a Master of Science in Education. He met his wife Anita during college and they were married in 1970. In 1973, they moved to Coram, NY where Jack taught Industrial Arts at Harbor Fields High School in Greenlawn, NY. He then went on to open Foam Visions Inc. in 1980, a successful manufacturer of point of purchase signage and displays for advertisers. After a successful 20 years in business, Jack and Anita sold Foam Visions Inc. and enjoyed retirement together.The couple welcomed their son Todd in 1976. Jack will be fondly remembered as a kind father who taught Todd the value of hard work, integrity and how to execute the best prank.Jack was a very accomplished craftsman who loved to create. His finest creation was a monogramed keepsake box for his beloved granddaughter Coraline. He was a generous man who was passionate about his family, friends, cars and cats.Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jack's life. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12th, 2019 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Branch Funeral Home of Miller Place, 551 Route 25A Miller Place. A service will take place on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 10:30am at Branch Funeral Home of Miller Place. The interment will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale with a reception to follow at Palmer's American Grille, 123 Fulton St, Farmingdale.
