Jack Driscoll, age 78 of Riverhead and Miller Place passed away on July 29, 2024 with his family by his side.

Jack was born in 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in Bayside, Queens and later Long Island with his 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Jack played baseball and basketball in High School. After High School, he served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969, he was awarded the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal/ 60 device and the Vietnam Service Medal.

After the service, Jack earned his business degree. He worked for Procter & Gamble for over 30 years, working in New York and Florida.

Jack was athletic playing in baseball and softball leagues for many years, he loved his family, they always came first. Jack loved watching the Giants, Mets and Islanders. Once he retired, he enjoyed traveling with his wife to Italy, Ireland, Greece and Israel. He loved taking his Jeep and Mustang convertible to the beach.

Jack met his wife Pat at age 15 at Lindenhurst High School. They were married on June 21, 1969. They were blessed with three daughters Carolyn, Michele and Ellen. They lived in Holbrook for 15 years before moving to Florida and then back to Long Island. Jack was a proud grandfather to 7 grandchildren: Aidan, Brendan, Kendall, Jack, Gavin, Noah and Lily.

Jack is predeceased by his wife Pat, who passed away in May 2024. He is survived by his daughters and their families: Carolyn, Keith, Kendall and Gavin Eckert; Michele, Mike, Aidan and Brendan Lake and Ellen, Chris, Jack, Noah and Lily Driscoll-Abbott.

Jack is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Tom(Melissa), Paul, Jimmy (Laura), Peggy, Barbara, Loreene(Dave) and Diane Driscoll. Jack’s in-laws: Dennis (Linda) Jurs, Elaine and the late John Jurs.

He will be laid out at Branch Funeral Home in Miller Place on August 1st, visiting will be from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass will be held at St. Louis De Montfort in Miller Place at 12 on August 2nd, a dedication at Calverton will follow.

In leu of flowers, we are asking for donations to St.Jude Children’s Hospital or Good Sheherd Hospice in Port Jefferson.

  1. candleSo sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. He was one of the nicest people I worked with at Procter and Gamble. One of the best parts was getting together at District Meetings. Jack was always a positive influence on all of us. I cherish our time together.

  2. Jack and Pat had as close to a Notebook ending as possible. That’s a testimony to the love and life they shared.
    There truly are no words to make any of this any easier for you Carolyn, Michele, Ellie and families. You gave so much to make your mom and dad feel comfortable and loved. Do the same for yourselves and your families. You’re all loved very much.
