Maria, Veronica and John – our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Jimmy always had a smile on his face and a contagious laugh… he will be greatly missed.
Dear Maria, Veronica and John,
Jim touched so many people in so many ways. I know you are all devastated by this heartbreaking loss. Jim had a heart of gold, literally and figuratively. He was always helping those he cared about. That will forever be his legacy. We will miss him, his smile and his laugh. Sending prayers, condolences and love.

Jimmy was always a special person in my life. We were all close to him, he truly is a special person. We had so many good times & when he was at his Sister’s visiting, he would come & see me too, & we would go out to Lunch. He always made people laugh!! I will truly miss him!! My heart goes out to Maria & his family!! 😭😭
Rest peacefully, my dear friend. You will be missed more than you know by more people than you could possibly count.
So very sad to hear about Jim. I have wonderful memories of Jimmy, which l will always cherish. Jim you were always smiling and laughing at my jokes. You’d say keep them coming. My prayers are with his family and friends. Such a sad loss of a wonderful life. Rest In Peace, my friend🙏

I will love our friendship forever. I’ll miss you but also know I’ll be seeing you again Jim.
And to your wife Maria, may you find comfort in knowing you made him happy everyday! This loss is a shock to many but for you….I imagine unbearable. May God help you to grieve and bring him to you in happy thoughts and dreams.
May God welcome you Jim as you enter this new realm in the presence of God, peace and joy.
You touched so many with your heart and good sense. And your wicked sense of humor was always welcomed!
I’m not sure how those beautiful grand babies you love so much are going to grow up without you!
I hope you’ll guide them as they grow from your new lofty perch Jim. God has welcomed a very deserving man into Heaven and Heaven is better for it.
Rest In Peace my dear friend.
Love, Katie Galvin

My thought and hugs to all your family.
I’ve know Jimmy since kindergarten in 1958. We graduated high school together in 1971. I will miss my friend.
Jimmy was an incredibly unique and wonderful friend; very likeable, interesting, warm, kind, caring, smart as a whip, and as honest as they come. I don’t think I know anyone who had as many friends as he did, as well as his innate ability to easily make new ones. I always enjoyed my conversations with him, of events long ago, and those of a contemporary nature.
I had the good fortune to have known Jim for over 55 years, since 8th grade at East Northport JHS. I was looking forward to getting together for our lunch dates again, which were pretty much cancelled since the onset of Covid in March of 2020. The last time I saw Jim was for lunch at Crab Meadow Beach, in late September of last year.
As I seem to be saying with increasing frequency lately, having lost two close friends within the course of less than 3 weeks; Sic transit gloria mundi….so passes the glory of the world. Jim, rest in peace my good friend. I will always have very fond memories of you, and I will very much miss you.

Hey Jimmy, I’m sure you’re smiling down on all of us who loved you. Your lovely family and all your many freinds are missing your humor and warmth but rest assured my good friend you always be with us in our hearts and fond memories of you.
Jimmy…. We grew up together in East Northport…. You always made me laugh. My mom always loved you and you never forgot to ask about her. It’s just the way you were…… kind and caring. The world has lost a very special person in you. Thanks for the memories. 💔

I was blessed to have met Jim thirty years ago in the postoffice. Jim would always make me feel like no matter what the challenge things would always work out. His smile, humor and generosity would make anyone feel loved. Jim you have changed my life and my family’s life forever. Even though I feel lost without you here, there is comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten. Thank you so much for being part of my life, you’ll be in my heart until we meet again. RIP.

My heartfelt condolences to the Welsh family. May you find peace knowing Jim earned his wings long before he left this earth. His kindness was contagious and his presence was comforting.
I am so sorry to hear of Jims passing. I did a very long deal with him and he used to always have a joke about it. He was such a nice guy. Glad to have had the chance to work with him. Sending sympathy and prayers to his family.
The world is a little sadder with the loss of our dear friend Jimmy. He touched so many people in such special ways. I loved that he always made time for everyone. My condolences to Maria, Veronica, John, and those beautiful grandchildren who he adored. RIP by friend.
I am so sorry to hear my dear friend Jimmy is gone. I’ve known Jimmy since we were both 5 years old and lived across the street and played as kids. I have so many memories playing as kids and growing up over the years. We grew up and still were good friends all these years. My prays and condolences are for his family Maria, his kids Veronica and John and his Grand children. He will be missed…..R.I.P. My old and dear friend.
Jimmy was a rare soul. The world needs
More like him. Great memories from high school along with his brother Tom. Certainly both gone too soon.
