  4. REMEMBERING JIMMY DAILEY….In the 1940’s I lived in Bay Ridge and the Dailey’s lived with Grandma Resch in Bensonhurst. Unfortunately, today I rarely get together with my cousins. However, in the 1940’s the opposite occurred. Every Sunday, and I mean EVERY Sunday,(Like Ground Hogs Day) The Dailey’s, The Wall’s, The Hogan’s and the Moran’s gathered at Grandma Resch’s house for dinner. The woman were together talking and preparing dinner while the men visited the neighborhood bar. After dinner the woman cleaned up and the men played cards. The kids played together, and my favorite part was playing with my cousin JIMMY and we treated each other as if we were close brothers. I loved him so much then, and recently we saw each other and he retained his cheerful witty, and funny personality. I will never forget the memory of my ‘ Brother Jimmy’.My Love, thoughts and prayers are with the Dailey Family and to all the Resch cousins.I love you Jimmy!
