Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We have been one for almost fifty three years…. How high is up….that has been our motto for how much we love each other…💔. Always your Anna Maria💕

  2. Jim, So much to thank you for. I will always cherish your sense of humor and for laughing at mine. The hours of chess games and even that one year we played right through New Years Eve and didn’t even know the ball dropped. All the vacations, restaurants, buffets and your love for Hershey with all the fun we had there. There are so many stories that I will share in your memory and your Grandchildren will never forget who or what type of person you were to them and to all that knew you. As we agreed, set the chess board up, white goes first, your bishops against my knights. With all my love, honor and respect. No really great man ever thought himself so. That’s how you acted, but to us, you are one of the best. Gods rest, be at peace.

  3. To my big brother Jimmy; I will always be the little brother chasing you down the street just to hang out with you. I wish we had more time together. Your gone from this world but not from my heart.

  4. My silent rock 💕
I love you pops .. I feel you all around me every moment of every day and it’s such an overwhelming feeling of peace even through all my sorrow ! My boys just gained the BEST guardian angel ! Watch over them, Protect them & love them and me ! Never ..ever ..leave me 💔

  5. My grandpa was the best grandpa in the world! I know that he loved me more then I could think of and I did too. When my mom was pregnant at the Doctor my mom called grandma and told her there was 3 babies, and when grandpa heard that he opened up his arms as wide as he could to make sure that he could love and hug every single one of us. I miss him so much and I hope one day he looks over me and see me having twins or triplets of my own and wishing he could hug them to. There’s no doubt about it because he might of been the kindest man I ever met.

  6. He loved us so much. He loved eating good food and he liked to watch Jurassic Park and Star Wars and Star Trek. He & Grandma kept all the stuff that we gave them. He never yelled when he was in pain. He was a very funny man. I will miss him him a lot.

  7. He was a good babysitter. He was also the best Grandpa. I liked watching Star Wars with him a lot. I miss him so much 💔💔

  8. My Grandpa, he was one of the kindest men anyone could know. He never forced me to do anything I didn’t want to do and we went on vacations to Disney, Hershey and Montauk. I remember before he got sick he used to come home from work and he sat in his chair and did crossword puzzles. He would always share his pistachio muffins with me. No matter what he never complained. He was very funny and he loved watching Star Trek. I will always remember you in my heart Grandpa.

  9. Dearest Annamarie and Family, So very sad to learn of Jim’s passing
He was a great man, always ready to help anyone he could …and loved by many…We send to you our Prayers, Thoughts and Love…and fondly remember all the great times we shared together through the many years…Please accept our deep, deep sympathy.
With Much Love to You All…
    DONNA AND MICHAEL

  10. Our warmest and deepest sympathy Anna Maria to you and your beautiful family. All the sentiments mentioned in the guestbook embody who Jimmy was as a husband, father, grandfather, friend and our dear cousin. He was a “gentle”man always. Truly a favorite cousin. With love, Rita and Tom VonEssen

  11. candleI had the immense honor of getting to know Jim and his family over the past year as Jim’s physical therapist. He certainly left a beautiful impression on me. Despite the struggles that his body gave him day to day he ALWAYS tried his best. We would laugh as I gave him the next exercise as we rocked out to his favorite 60’s radio station. Once in a while Jim would tell me a story of the great things he was reminded of when a certain song was playing. I adored hearing his love story the AnnMarie and the fun things he would do when his entire family was together for the holidays. I especially enjoyed watching he and AnnMarie interact with each other. He would humorously rile up and she was always there to take the bait. This always made him laugh.
Birthday cards and treats always filled their house for they celebrated one another each and every day. Jim was a proud grandpa, father and husband and LOVED his family with all his heart. They are absolutely everything to him. Jim never appeared distressed over his physical situation and never complained at the hand he was dealt- because in his eyes it was still a great one. Surrounded by the people he loved most in the world.
You touched my heart Jim, and I’m so saddened to not see you again on this side earth.
My hears and prayers are with your family.
    xoxo
    Love
    Kim

    • Kim your words truly touched our hearts ….it was an honor to welcome you into our home twice a week……we will miss seeing you too…..All Gods Blessings on You and Your Family for All the Joy You Bring to Those in Need.
      With love……Anna Maria

  12. My friend Jimmy was a role model in all aspects of his life. As a pharmacy mentor, friend and family man his entire life was centered around giving to those who were fortunate enough to know him and be a part of his life. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched and will remain candid in our memories because he earned that distinction by the life he led. Rest in peace my friend.

  13. How does one recognize a good man? Look at his family. Jimmy loved his family immensely and provided support with his constant good humor and attentiveness. He was their strength.
Their courage and strength will be part of his legacy.
His love for Anna Marie had no boundaries; her love for him sustained him.
This is the Jimmy who will never be forgotten: Jimmy as husband, father and friend.

  14. I remember going to Jim’s home when I was younger and feeling such a strong sense of family and love. You could see just how much love he had to give as a husband and father and, as I read here, as a grandfather. May he live on in everyone’s hearts. Sending my condolences.

  15. Sending you all love and prayers. May you find comfort knowing he’s watching over all of you with a smile.

    • Jim will always be remembered as a gentle energy, funny with a great sense of humor, super intelligent, loving to all and an exceptional family man. You have created a wonderful family together. All my love, Jeanine

  16. candleSending much love and hugs to my family at this time. This breaks my heart so much. Uncle Jimmy was an amazing person and a wonderful uncle! I know that heaven has gain a terrific angel now to look down on his family! All my love and hugs, Craig

  17. What a shining example Jim was for his children and grand children, his memory will live on in them, rest in peace dear brother-in-law

  18. Uncle Jimmy.

You were the most kindest person in my life. You always saw me when I felt I was never seen. My heart aches because you left.
As a child, and as an adult, you were the one who set an example of a loving husband, a GREAT father & a FANTASTIC grandfather.

I just wish I would have called to tell you this. I know you can see & feel what is in my heart now.

    I love you Uncle Jimmy.

This world lost such a beautiful, kind & pure soul. This world is now dimmer because you have left and heaven got so much brighter.

May you soar high. Free. And watch over us Uncle Jimmy. I love you.

  19. I was Jim’s partner in King Kullen in both the Manorville and Selden stores. He was a great guy and a pleasure to work with. I know he is at peace.

  20. candleLearning this past Tuesday that Jim passed away was truly a shock and heartbreaking. Jim was my Supervising Pharmacist in Hauppauge in 2003 and continued to Mt. Sinai where on every shift he greeted you with a cheerful good morning. He had a easygoing fun personality and never a bad word to say, or a bad mood. My years working in Hauppauge with Jim and Marty Lamia will always be my most memorable times in pharmacy. Jim loved radio contests and the lottery. He introduced me to my first Rice ball ever deliciously made by Anna Marie. I believe from heaven Jim found a way this week to help connect a phone call to Anna Marie’s cellphone to our pharmacy phone. I will always be honored for the chance I got to work with Jim and Marty. My deepest condolences to the entire extended Bacher family. 💔

  21. John and I just learned yesterday at Mass that Jim had passed. We were shocked. We have wonderful memories of Jim and Anna Maria and their family. Our children grew up together, we met at St. Patrick’s Church folk group many years ago and considered the Bachers family from then on We had such good times together and will remember Jim and his kindness, fun attitude, and how much he loved Anna Maria and his children. We will miss him very much and know that he is protecting his family as always but now he’s doing it from heaven. We extend our deepest sympathy to Anna Maria and Russell, Seska,, and Paulette and their children, but please try to find some comfort in knowing that Jim is finally at peace with our Lord. God bless all of you.
