James Russell Stirling, age 85, of Ridge died Sunday, November 27, 2016. James was born November 8, 1931 in Scotland. He is the son of the late James and Jean (Graham Dick) Stirling. He served in the Air Force during the the Korean war. He had been employed by Grumman in Bethpage, NY as an Engineer. He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Wiezel) Stirling , one daughter: Deborah Saverese of Miller Place, NY and one son: James Stirling of Florida. He also has five grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany, James, Austin and Justin. Prayers will be offered 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 30 at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, November 29 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY.
