Jean Layden
February 12, 1934 ~ July 1, 2024
Jean Layden and William Layden shared a beautiful marriage, beginning in 1952, and filled with 33 wonderful years together until William’s passing in 1995. Their love story blossomed into a family with three children: Nancy, who married Tony in 1979, Cathy, who married Steve in 1982, and Bill, who married Denise in 1994. Jean’s legacy of love and care continued through her six cherished grandchildren: Stephanie, who married Dave, Joey, James, Nicky who passed in 2014, Amanda, and Kiera.
Jean was a beacon of compassion and dedication. She led with grace as President of the PTA and President of the Deborah Heart Foundation, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and remained an active and beloved member of her church. Those fortunate enough to know Jean experienced her unwavering readiness to help, no matter the need or time.
As the steadfast cornerstone of her family, Jean embodied the essence of selfless love. Her spirit of generosity and kindness touched all who knew her. Jean’s absence leaves a profound void, but her memory and the example she set will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
