Deepest sympathies to Jim’s family & friends.
Jim went out of his way to make sure my Mom was safe during 2 storms when family members could not get to her. He brought her hot food & let us know
she was safe..
A hero to Cynthia, Ginny & Cotes family.

May God hold you in his tender care.

RIP Jim. It was a long time since we saw each other in person but I enjoyed our regular Facebook interactions. Too soon for a good soul like yours to leave this world.

Tina, Jim was a wonderful generous person. I worked with him in IATSE 52 on a lot of jobs. He helped me many times with rides home when I had no drivers license, and once took me to an oral surgeon in NHP cause they wouldn’t let me drive afterwards to go home. We worked a lot of John Lowry jobs together early in his career. I’m 9 years older than him. I got on his bad side one time cause I asked him to work on some job I was panicked about and he couldn’t do it and said something mean to him. He never forgave me or gave me the chance to apologize. But I still loved him as a friend and co-worker ( I never worked with him again on jobs cause he got into set building and I stayed on shoot crews). I’m surprised nobody here is from IATSE 52 where he worked. He and I spoke a lot about personal stuff before I made him hate me. I know he loved you very much.
This is not a social thing ( this place to say I’m so sorry for your loss, etc.) but it occurs to me that if Jim was vested with 52 and usually would file for a retirement benefit ( defined benefit plan, health care, individual retirement account) he might not have done that prior to his death cause that is usually done at age 65. His claim for SS would also come into play maybe. I know this is really stupid but I’ll give you my email address and if there’s anything I can do to help you I will do it.

I just hope others don’t email me to confuse matters as I am kinda old and just want to help you, Tina, if I can.
