Jo Ann K. Brooks, age 81, of Rocky Point formerly of Miller Place died Friday, September 27, 2019. Jo Ann was born December 20, 1937 in Bay Shore, NY. She is the daughter of the late Thomas F. and the late Elizabeth (Murdock) Thomas. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel H. Brooks in 2005. She had been the owner Keepsake Dolls & Gifts in Miller Place, NY. She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Coto of Rocky Point, New York and Robin Martinez of Miller Place, New York, two sons: Brian Brooks of Cutchogue, New York and Daniel Brooks of Rocky Point, New York. One sister: Dolly Sabiston of Florida and one brother: Frank Thomas of Florida; She also has 7 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Prayers will be offered 3:00 pm on Monday, September 30 at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Tuesday, October 1 at 10:30 am. Family and Friends will gather at the Funeral Home for a 10 AM Closing Prayer. Visiting hours will be Monday, September 30 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. An online guest book can be found at rockypointfuneralhome.com.

Aunt Joan was my Dads sister. Billy she called him.She was a very smart and hard working women. Her and Uncle Dan were very Pro family and always there for are family when we were in need. I remember as being a kid she had the meanest little dog LOL.
We moved often and lost touch with family. My Aunt Joan rest in peace always My prayers to Family and Friends.
