Joe Conlon

joe conlon

January 10, 1951 ~ October 25, 2024

Born in: Mineola, NY
Resided in: Commack, NY

Joe Conlon passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends on October 25th.

Joe was the beloved husband of 43-years to Ann Karen and cherished father to Jennifer (Joe), Karen (Sky), Joseph (Jessica), and Kimberly. In spirit, he remains the incredibly loving Ampa to Drew, Dylan, Tristan and Dominic.

He fought to the very end, which may be no surprise, as he was extremely dedicated to every and anything he did. Joe was the most sincere man whose love, compassion and loyalty to others led to lifelong relationships, even with perfect strangers.

He spent his best days on the soccer field hosting Score at the Shore tournaments and being militant about the display of apples in the produce aisle at Trader Joe’s. He loved the ritual of Friday night dinners with his wife, Billy and Diane, and spending time with his children. Mostly, he adored watching “Purple Hair Man” in the recliner with his grandchildren.

Joe will be missed immensely. His family asks that you forever cherish, remember and continue to share all the memories of him.

    • candleI’m saddened to hear about Joe’s passing, had the pleasure of working with him for the 5 years I was at tjs. He always spoke of his children with so much pride and I’ll miss our small coffee and yap breaks throughout the day.

May you rest easy and peacefully my friend.

  4. Rest in peace Joe. A kind, sweet soul indeed — we are some of those strangers you talk about in his loving obituary. We met him at Trader Joe’s and he had become very special to us in the past 8 years. We only shopped when we knew Joe was working — he’s responsible for the start of my daughter’s career! He loved his family dearly, always speaking so highly and proudly of all of you! Our hearts are broken for you and we will never forget our special Trader Joe! Sending love and virtual hugs to you all at this difficult time.

Joe Conlon was a significant part of my son Kyle’s life, he always went to the Score at the Shore soccer tournaments with the Family. He was treated as a son by him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

  6. We had some good times working bingo together at CTK and our marriage encounter meetings. Our girls worked with you years ago and loved it. We hope you are smiling now and enjoy watching your family grow.

  7. candleWe are among the countless customers of Trader Joe’s that had the pleasure of getting to know Joe. He was always so personable, pleasant, and helpful. Our conversations ranged from Joe’s pride and love of his family … to his stories of the old days at Bohack’s. His presence transformed a trip to a grocery store into a visit with a good friend. We have and will miss him greatly. To his family, please know that you have our deepest sympathy. Rest in Peace Joe

  8. candleSorry to hear that my cousin has passed away. I always looked up to him during family visits. Prayers for his family and those close to him.
