Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I’m so sorry to hear of John’s passing. I always enjoyed working with him. My condolences to his family.

  2. John was always a trip to work with. He surprised me when I visited his home & his gardens were amazing with scarlet begonias & a field of other flowers!. Could always count on his pessimism, hence the aka “Bitta”. I remember him telling stories of vacation & nothing good to say until he went to the everglades & fed chickens to the gators. That brought a smile to his face!
    RIP Bitta!.

  3. I truly appreciate you sharing… sound’s just like my Dad made me smile 😊 so Thank You as this is meant to be a celebration of his life!! -Melissa

  4. I will always remember John and family from way back to the early 70’s. Our kids growing up together. We had some great times together. Sending hugs to all.

  5. To you Melissa and all your family – I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. Here are some long distance cyber-hugs. I will be thinking of you these days, and especially on Wednesday.

  6. Rest in peace my cherished friend. There’s a void in my life without you already. Love you John.

  7. I could tell so many stories about John. My favorite is the wings of death challenge. He told the cook at Phil’s that his hot wings weren’t hot enough. The cook said he could make wings so hot that John couldn’t eat them. The wings come out and the smell alone would burn your nose hairs. John takes a bite and deadpan, ” Better”. Cook walks away shaking his head. I ask John how he could possibly eat them as MY eyes were watering. He says, ” I’m not gonna lie, my face is on fire but I’d never let him know that.” Rest easy my brother.

  8. I knew John from the courts and meeting him at Phils,he was always little sarcastic about work and current events but you new he was having you on . I got to know his dry sense of humor and I sorry to hear he passed . I will keep John and his family in my prayers. God bless. Kevin Gleason

  9. Johnny was a great guy! He hosted some great 4th of July BBQ’s. We shared many a beer and other good times. The man even gave up his beloved apartment early so I could move in. Whenever I saw him, it wasn’t long before he would have a smile, a snicker, a laugh and story. This was contagious. He is one oh my great memories from NY.
