  1. Dear Dad

As the proud Veteran that you were you fought the fight as good as you could, until Our Lord came for you to serve in a different capacity.
Know this that I am proud that you were my father. You did the best you could through the years. As we have all grown to know and learn “it aint easy” but again you did your best and that’s all one can do.
Don’t worry about Mom as she will be well taken care of by all those around her.
So with that being said in your spare time may the fish always be biting…may all the crabs be really big…may every scratchoff be a winner…may every horse win by two lengths and every slot machine give you a royal straight flush (just remember to play max credits…haha).
Until we meet again on the other side, we will love and miss you everyday.
    Rest in peace my Daddy.
    Your son Danny.

  2. Every time I would visit, we would talk, he would cook, and we would play some poker. I’d give anything to hear your stories, your voice and play some cards with you. I love you grandpa, always and forever- Philip Jr.

  3. Didn`t matter the amount of hours or how many days a week you had to work so long as Mommy could be there for us to provide her magic touch…Thank You…Bring down the zero and carry the one…Thank You…Greatest seats behind third base…Thank You…Biggest fluke I ever caught, had to be because of that secret weapon lure you rigged up my pole with…Thank You…All honor classes and an early graduation…Thank You…Slow down going into the turn and then easy on the gas…Thank You…Take all of those civil service exams it will give you security…Thank You…Over 60 years of marriage as a model to emulate…Thank You…375 degrees for about an hour and a half but keep an eye on it, came out delicious…Thank You…Philip and Ashley always came away with a smile after our visits and I am so glad they got to know you…Thank You…The horses are approaching the starting gate…they`re at the post…and they`re off…played that 2 horse you were telling me about…let me go cash this ticket now…I know its a winner because you never steered me wrong…until we meet again…I LOVE YOU DAD…your son Philip

  4. Condolences and prayers to all during this most difficult time. May John’s soul rest peacefully in Heaven.

Father God, I pray for this grieving family. I pray that you would comfort them with the comfort you give. I pray that you would send supportive people into their life, so they know that they don’t have to carry this burden alone. But mostly, I pray that they sense your presence. Help them to meditate on what is true. Help them to know that you are God and you care deeply for them. So much, that you are saving each little tear they shed. I pray this in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.
