John Muir, age 87, of Ridge died Sunday, May 22, 2016. John was born August 27, 1928 in Guyana. He had been employed as a Manager on a Sugar Estate in Guyana. Mr. Muir had also served in Royal Air Force. He is survived by his wife: Margot (Brassington) Muir, sons: Jonathan and Nicholas Muir both of Ridge, NY, his sister Reta Dobbs and brother, Rupert Muir both of Canada . A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11 AM on Wednesday, May 25 at St. Mark's RC Church, 105 Randall Road, Shoreham, NY. Burial will follow at Washington Memorial Park, Mount Sinai. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 25 from 9 AM to 10 AM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY.
