John V. Galioto

To the Galioto Family,

I mourn the loss of your Dad. John was my first cousin and I will never forget how much he made me laugh. My mom Antoinette Galioto was my Uncle Virgie’s sister. When our family visited Bay Ridge iif John was available he would take me down to his fire house put me in the drivers seat and let me pretend to steer the truck. He also had the sirens and lights on. I will never forget how very kind he was to me. You Dad was a great man and my memories of him will last a lifetime.

John was the husband of my first cousin, Betty. Because I am Scottish and live in the UK, I only see my American relatives occasionally. John and Betty were very kind hosts and invited me to their home every time I visited New York. There was an excellent lunch and stimulating conversation. John was always very friendly to me, and good company. I was sad to hear the news of his passing. Thinking of John, Matt, Christine and the rest of the family.
