  5. candleMr. B was more than a teacher to those of us lucky enough to be in his Printing class. As a member of the class of 1972, I still remember how he took the time to encourage me and made every student feel capable of doing meaningful work. He treated printing not just as a trade but as a craft worth pride and patience. His belief in us stayed long after graduation. The lessons he shared about care, effort and confidence shaped many of our paths.

  6. candleSending my condolences and prayers to the entire Beltrani clan. Mr. B was such a wonderful man. Kind and gentle and always helpful, he was a true mentor to so many of us.
    May he rest in peace.

  7. candleMy thoughts and prayers to the Beltrani family. I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all.

  8. candleMr. Beltrani was a gift from God to all of us and anyone who knew him. Truly one of the last of the Mohicans! A second “dad” to all of us growing up in Hauppauge, LI. I am at a loss for words right now. I pray God was merciful and he his soul is at rest with the Lord our God. He and my dad will be teeing off tomorrow for a heavenly round of golf. I can picture Mr. B teasing my father with every slice right off the tee. God bless the entire Beltrani family. The O’Shaughnessys mourn your loss.

  9. Lello, Daniela and Ilaria are missing the beloved Joseph., the laughs and the good times together. Rest in peace dear cousin. Our prayers are with you and your wonderful family. They are the strongest evidence of the good person you have been.

  10. Mr Belttrani . My Scout Leader.. I was fortunate to have such a great scout leader and mentor as a adolescent boy scout.. Although it’s been many years since we last spoke his gentle positive demeanor left a life long impression with me..
I know the angels welcomed him with open arms..We are so sorry for your loss .

  11. candleI will always remember the good times we had during the summers in their pool. Joe and my dad were such good friends. The memories will be with me forever.

  18. candleMr B
I want to thank you for all you did for me. I came to Long Island from Brooklyn was a bad student didn’t like school much they put me in the printing program at Boces and you were the reason I learned a trade and prosper I loved going to your class you made it fun and you really cared for us. We were your boys. I called you about four months ago to go to lunch and see my new shop. I told you when the weather gets warmer I’m sorry I never got to show you the new place you would’ve loved it. I miss you and you be in my heart forever!

  19. Joe Beltrani was the reason so many of our scouts rose in the ranks, even if only to First Class Scout and didn’t earn the Eagle Scout rank… it wasn’t for lack of encouragement and effort and mentoring on Joe’s part! He was one of the most important leaders and adults in my son’s life both as a scout and as a trusted friend and adult when Harry “aged out.” I’ll never forget the wisdom that he shared with all of us, the wonderful warm and inclusive family times that we shared both in and outside of Troop 343 with all of the Beltrani family members. The joys that we shared over coffee (both at the kitchen table and at the campfires on the overnight trips), the moments that meant so much to all of us in the troop — Joe made sure that we are all part of that extended family over all these years. Thank you all in the Beltrani family for sharing him with all of us! Prayers continue………

  20. Joe Beltrani was the true gentleman! Always perfectly and smartly dressed, always with a smile and greeting. Joe and my late husband were very active in Boy Scout Troop 343. Joe was in charge of many merit badges, and always worked with the scouts. He had so much patience with them. He was instrumental in my son Jimmy attaining Eagle Scout. My husband was an Asst Scout Master, and worked closely with Joe. He was a great and proud American .
    Rest in peace, my friend.

  21. My condolences to Anna and the Beltrani family. Reading all of the previous messages saddens me as a cousin that we didn’t get to spend more time together. You clearly touched so many lives and made a difference whether it was teaching Printing or Scouting. Rest in Peace my cousin.
