Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We will always remember your laugh and you always lit up the room with your smile. Love always: Brian, Danielle and Rose

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Colonel Slaymaker was an exemplary soldier, police officer, and father. Our career paths crossed while we were both members of the then, 77th ARCOM.

I was also his son’s Dean and Teacher of English in the late 70’s, at Thomas Edison High School. I remember him as a fine, bright young man–an Officer’s son–a credit to his father and mother.

While saddened by Col. Slaymaker’s death, I am grateful for having known him and for his contribution to our country and city. He and men like him are always remembered.

    Sincerely,
    Dennis J. Carroll
    Maj.,AUS,(Ret.)

  3. The Members of Heritage Village Memorial Post #204, The American Legion, send their deepest condolences to Joe Slaymaker’s family. May he rest in peace.
