  2. candleSo deeply sorry to hear of the loss of Joe. He was such a nice man and I loved playing foosball with him at the VFW in Plainview where my Father Kenny is a member. Give my Mom Jennie a big hug when you see her in heaven for us. Till we meet again and much love to his family for their loss.

    Debbie and Donna

  3. candleDeepest condolences, Joe was a good guy. He was a colleague and friend. He will be missed. With deepest sympathies, Michael J Polouski

  4. Oh joe I’m happy I saw you one last time I just found out of your passing Your with billy now love you Rest in peace big Joe You were a great person

  5. My deepest condolences to Joe’s family. Joe lit up every space with his cheerful smile and his love for those around him. I was fortunate to have met him shortly after becoming a Legionnaire 13 years ago, and was always happy to see him at County Legion functions.

Joe, as you now transfer to the great spirit army to serve the Commander of us all, may you continue to be an example for all in our daily lives. May you rest in eternal peace.

  6. So sorry to read of Joe’s passing. So many fond memories of him at Post 1812 and with my father family at many American Legion and family events. My condolences to his family.

  7. Joe was a good officer and a pleasure to work with. Great sense of humor, always with a smile.
    He will be missed.

  8. On behalf of St. Francis Parish in East Meadow, we mourn the loss of our dear friend Joe. Always with a smile. Always enthusiastic about life. Always with interesting stories to tell. Always encouraging when someone was down. Always bringing donations to and from the church or to and from the American Legion. Although four years older, he shared my birth date, November 18th, as well as that of another Parishioner, Rosemary Rosen (a little younger than us though). It always amazed us that St. Francis is such a small, humble Parish, yet three of us shared the date. I will miss Joe at breakfast on Sundays after Mass, and I know so many of us will miss him at the Spring and Christmas Fund-raiser dinners. Rest in peace, Joe. You deserve it. With lots of love, Joni

  9. Joey, I truly hope that you are finding the peace and happiness in Heaven, that you very much deserve, and that you are now once again with your beloved Mother and Father. Even though we were miles apart, I always appreciated you keeping in touch and updating me on the happenings. God Bless you Joey. I know that He will. My prayers are with you always.

  10. Happy Veterans Day Joe! So sorry to learn that you are gone. What an amazing person so glad I can call you my friend. Rest in peace.!
    Your friend Margaret 🇺🇸

  11. We have been extremely fortunate to have been able to experience the blessing that was Joe’s life. He would always call and stop by our apartment building we lived together in the past and would show our family all the love and kindness possible. Finding out about his passing online since we didn’t receive our call from him on Thanksgiving was truly a shock. Thank you for everything Joe. We love you, Henry, Carmen, Marnes and Isabella.

  12. Joe my friend, it could not have been this long since we spoke. Now I know why your phone number no longer worked. I am sure you are involved in running some vet organizations where you are at. We’ll talk again some day in the not too distant future. Until then say hi to Jack Lord for me:)
