July 4, 1950 ~ February 21, 2026

Born in: Brooklyn, NY
Resided in: Sound Beach, NY

Kerry C. Sisson entered into eternal peace on February 21, 2026, fortified by his deep and abiding faith in God.

Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Kerry carried his New York roots with him throughout his life. He later relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he lived for thirty years, building both his career and community. In his later years, he returned home to New York and spent the final sixteen years of his life on Long Island.

He was the beloved father of Kenneth, loving grandfather of Poppy and Blake, dear brother of William, and cherished son of the late William M. and Margaret Sisson.

A proud and devoted member of the parish of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Rocky Point, Kerry’s service to the Catholic faith began in his youth as both a choir boy and altar boy. His lifelong commitment to the Church continued as a dedicated sacristan and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith was not simply something he professed — it was something he lived, actively and consistently.

Kerry also honorably served as a reservist in the United States Marine Corps, carrying with him the discipline, loyalty, and sense of duty that defined his character.

In his professional life, Kerry was well known and respected in the field of mortgage banking. He approached his work with diligence and integrity, assisting countless homebuyers with care and attention, always mindful that he was helping families achieve such an important milestone.

In his earlier years, Kerry was a dog owner, and in later years, became a loving “cat dad.” His affection for all animals reflected his gentle heart. He cared deeply for all of the people in his life and was generous with his time, always willing to offer guidance, share knowledge, and lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Kerry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and by all of those whose lives he touched in some way along his journey.

  1. candleKerry was a dear friend and very loyal Ambassador and Parishioner of St, Anthony of Padua Church. He was always willing to help and support events and weekly Masses. He battled his Medical Issue with Dignity, Faith in the Lord and Love for all. Never down always with a smile and many times a hug. May God Bless him and his family. We will miss him dearly.
With affection, Nick and Louise Lomangino

  2. candleI knew Kerry from both St. Anthony’s Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a welcoming presence at Mass there and always greeted me with a warm smile and handshake.
He served as a sacristan during my mom’s funeral Mass most recently, and I was very sad to hear of his passing.
Kerry was a good, faithful person and I will remember him fondly when attending Mass, even though it won’t be the same without him being there.
    Rest in peace, Kerry.
Vivat Jesus; Christ died for our sins and destroyed death so that we might have life and be joined with him in Heaven.

  3. candleI was so sorry to hear of Kerry’s passing this morning at mass. He was truly a gentleman and a devoted parishioner of Saint. Anthony’s always seemed to be there with a smile on his face a warm hug and a loving handshake. I certainly will miss him as I’m sure most of the parishioners will. May God bless you rest in peace..

  4. candleKerry and I worked together at St Anthony’s teaching religious education. He was a good friend and always had a kind word and warm hug. His great smile and his warm hugs will be greatly missed.
    Rest in Peace, Kerry.

  5. I knew Kerry from our days as students at Cathedral Prep Seminary in Brooklyn. Several years ago, I met him at a Cathedral alumni dinner. He was a good man, may he rest in the Lord’s peace.

  6. Kerry’s service to his church included passing on the faith to the children of St. Anthony’s by teaching CCD and helping them to prepare for the sacrement of confirmation. He will be greatly missed.

  7. candleThank-you Kerry for the faith, dedication and warm humanity you shared so kindly on joyful days and bravely on challenging ones. Your beautiful and often unspoken example will live on in and inspire us to strengthen our faith, dedication and humanity. Your physical presence will be sorely missed but your gentle spirit emanates and carries on. Rest in heavenly peace dear brother in Christ.
