I have such very fond memories of Kevin from when I worked at DDI.. He was always such a positive and motivated member of DDI’s management team.. whenever presented with a problem or issue, he always found a constructive and helpful solution as his motivation was to have the very best physical environments for the people served at DDI. It was an absolute delight and privilege to work with him.. my condolences to his family for their loss.
Mr. Gray would always greet me with a welcome warm smile whenever I’d visit. When my father passed, Mr. Gray offered our family assistance with the house as we mourned. He gave me a heartfelt hug when he heard my father had passed, and little did I know it would be my last hug with him. Sending my thoughts and prayers to Kevin, Nicole, Rachel, and all of those mourning. May God grant you all strength and perseverance through this difficult time. Amen
We are so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. Our hearts are heavy from the loss. Our condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Kevin is forever in our hearts.
Love,
Sue, Nick and Ethan
My friend, my co-worker. My co-golfer. 😅. Sorry I beat the crp constructor. I was never good at politics. 🥰miss you
Kevin had a unique sense of humor. I never had a conversation with him where he didn’t make me laugh at some point. His wit and humor will forever put a smile on my face and I will surely miss that.
From the first time I met Kevin at DDI he was a friend. We so enjoyed talking about our families and the memories we had of growing up. Kevin loved talking about his children and was always upbeat and so willing to help out in any situation. He was a special blessing in my life and to many others
To a great guy. Always had the upmost respect for Kevin. So sad to see him gone. May your soul rest in peace my friend. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I cant even find any words to put here. I worked side-by-side with Kev for over 20 years. We had so many laughs, and so many life changes together. He always loved talking about his children and family. He loved DDI. KEVIN GRAY, I’m going to miss you every day. ❌❌⭕️⭕️
Our family was very upset to learn of Kevin’s passing. We have many fond memories of our young families spending time together celebrating birthdays, holidays and vacationing at Lake Anna. Sending our love and condolences to Kevin, Nicole, Rachel and other family and friends during this difficult time.
You were a great friend and was life was better for knowing you.
I have known Kevin since the early years when he along with brother Pat would arrive at Hollywood Dr. and be assigned various maintenance jobs by their dad John who worked in the finance dept. John and mom Shelia the school nurse introduced the boys to what would evolve into lifelong careers for both Kevin and Pat at DDI.
As Director of Buildings and Grounds, Kevin took on many challenges through the years and could always be counted on to get the job done whether it involved an individual residence or major program expansion.
Kevin was truly member of the DDI family. He was totally committed to ensuring that those served would always have a place to learn, recreate and live that reflected the highest standard of care. Kevin was loved by all those who worked with him through the years. We are all the better for having spent time with him, yet for now our hearts are broken at the loss of our dear friend Kevin.
Kevin,
Been too many years since we spent time together however always enjoyed every minute. From NBHS and OGD days sporting the coolest car of everyone “Trans Am”and always cracking a joke and busting on those who deserved it. Looks like a lovely family you have and my deepest condolences to all.
Pat its a tough club and so very sad for you.
Kevin May your SOUL SHINE down upon your family Each day forward my friend. You’ll be missed by so many. With warm regards, Michael OB
