Kevin Murn

kevin murn

August 11, 1961 ~ August 30, 2022

Born in: Mineola, Ny
Resided in: Port Jefferson Station, NY

“Kevin Murn, 61, entered into eternal rest on August 30th. Previously departed loved ones include his parents, Phyllis and Tom, and his brother-in-law Richie Magnussen.

Kevin is survived by his two sons, Zachary and Isaiah, who were born in Tennessee and then moved to NY with him, his sisters Donna, Terry (Jimmy), Joanne (Tommy), his brothers John (Lori), George and Tommy (Leslie). He is also survived by his Aunt Sissy, who was like a second Mom to Kevin and the entire family, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved very much.

Kevin would light up a room with his smile, his humor and his love for his family. He was extremely intelligent, an avid NY sports fan and could recite players statistics for all of the NY sports teams. He had an incredible memory and would often share stories from the past that most people have forgotten. He had a huge heart and, despite his own challenges, he would always put others first and was extremely generous to those in need, just like his Mom. When speaking with Kevin, he would always ask how everyone was, even the pets, and would always end the conversation with Thank You and God Bless You. Kevin was a true angel on earth and is now our angel in heaven.

When you think of Kevin, think of doing something good for someone or picking up the phone and calling someone you have been reluctant to call just to say hello and see how they are. We will miss Kevin’s huge heart, his infectious smile and his love for his family and friends.”

  1. Still remember Kevin coming home from his birth at Winthrop Hospital. He had the pinkest skin next to his yellow stretchie. He was the sweetest baby.

  2. We are saddened that Kevin is no longer with us. He was such a kind & warm person. The stories he used to tell me about Frank, he had me laughing! He definitely had fond memories of there time together. Say hello to your parents and your brother n law. Till we meet again!

    Our condolences to your son’s, sister’s, brother’s, brother-in-law’s., Aunt’s, Uncle’s, cousin’s, nieces and nephews.
