Born in: Kingston, Jamaica
Resided in: Brentwood, New York

Kirk Mo Mo Tomlinson was born in Kingston, Jamaica W.I. on June 14, 1973. His early years were spent with
his grandparents in rural Jamaica and at the age of 6 years, he migrated to the United States of America to live
with his maternal aunt but returned to Jamaica in 1984 after her passing.
He attended the Osbourne Store All Age school in Clarendon, Jamaica for a short time and had the opportunity
to return to live in the United States – in particular Orlando, Florida where a family of five (5) welcomed him
and accepted him as a son, a brother and an uncle. Thank you Lorna, Penny (deceased), Michelle, Karim and
Samantha for taking in this young man who had so many questions about his life up to this time but you made
him a part of your family. Kirk completed his high school studies at the West Orange High School and moved
onto further studies through the Job Corp Programme. Prior to his studies in the Job Corp, he spent a short
time in Miami, Florida and worked at Rex Art. It was through the Job Corp programme that he received
training as a Physical Therapist and then relocated to New York where he settled and lived up to the time of his
passing. He certainly enjoyed working at the Brookside Multicare Nursing Center, as he often spoke with
fondness about his patients and his colleagues. As many of us can attest he was always posting on Facebook
or sending via Whatsapp, photos of his cooking which he thoroughly enjoyed. As a matter of fact that’s
exactly what he just finished doing just before his untimely passing.
Kirk leaves a sister, nieces and nephews and an extended family to mourn his passing. He will be
remembered for his kindness and the way he embraced each person he came in contact without any
judgement. He accepted you for you who were. Walk good Kirk and may you rest in peace.

  1. Kirk: Cant believe that you were taken away from us so suddenly. No chance to say goodbye or anything. We will certainly miss you.

  2. candleKirk, though the years have passed, time always stood still on the days when we were young and full of life. Your passing is indeed very sad and my prayer is that you find eternal peace on your journey. Prayers to all who have known and loved you. Blessings.

  3. I am still in disbelieve. This one is just a shocker for me. Kirk you came into my life as a young man and I took you as my son, was so happy to have you in my life. Your passing has left me sad but I believe you are in the arms of Christ. Rest well my son.
