Letizia Brandolini Galvin age 92 of St. James, New York died on May 25th, 2014 after living a full, loving and wonderful life. Born on September 26, 1921 in Castellamare DiStabia, Italy to Francesco and Maria Brandolini, she was the 9th of 10 children; married Frank P. Galvin Jr. in 1942 and came to the USA as a war bride. She was a master of the Romance Languages, and was employed by the NYC Court System, reputed to be one of their most efficient and valuable translators. Her residences included Woodside, NY, Bradenton, FLA and St. James, NY. A talented singer, dancer, and artist, she was a lover of the arts, nature and the seaside as well as a devoted follower of her faith. Her biggest delight was her ever-growing family that spanned 4 generations during her lifetime. She was smart, quirky, interested and interesting, spunky, inquisitive, and humorous. She had a healthy dose of strength and a will of steel that kept her family going for decades. She is survived by her children: Robert, Marie, Thomas and Theresa; their spouses Maria, Wayne, Kathy and Lisa; her grandchildren: Tracy, Robert, Kim, Jennifer, Joseph, Michelle, Maria, Lori, Wayne, Katie, Elizabeth, Thomas, William and her great-grandchildren Tyler, Ashley, Samantha, Drew, Brendon, Joseph, James, Brea, Mackalya, Wayne, Eian, JJ and Jack; as well as many nephews & nieces both in NJ and in Italy, with friends far and wide.
