Linda Joyce Bucaria was born on August 23,1943 in Queens, NY. She graduated from Hunter College with a History degree and subsequent Guidance Counselor certification. She was predeceased by her mother, Catherine, and father, Joseph.

Her 40-year relationship with her spouse, Teri (Theresa) Tiso will continue even after her passing.

Linda shared many close relationships with her friends while golfing, playing tennis, eating, and conversing! And many have fond memories of their shared travels in the US and abroad.

Thank you to all the wonderful caregivers at Brightview Senior Living in Port Jefferson Station and St.James Rehabilitation. Along with our long time friends, Barbara Kantz, Valerie Krizel, Myrna Gordon, and our Schoonen neighbors, Linda was never alone during her Dementia journey home.

It was when her two real loves in this world, “Eating and Talking” ceased, that we knew it was her time to say goodbye.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Linda Bucaria was such a delightful, caring, funny person. I knew Linda through my teaching years at Sachem. I’m sure she made many memories for her loved ones. Hope they make you smile.

  2. candleI was a teacher at Sachem North High School and always had a nice working relationship with Linda. In addition, living in Miller Place, I would bump into Linda in a local store where we would chat for a while. She always had such a nice manner and was always so pleasant. May all the memories you have bring a smile to your face. My deepest sympathy.

  3. candleCondolences to Teri, Denise, Carlton, Lauren, Andy, & Jonas on Linda’s passing. The world will miss Linda’s energy and love of life, people, and activities. She has gone on to where we will all go- the fairways of heaven.
    See you up there Linda.

  4. I worked with Linda at Sachem High School. Linda added much to my life. She became a family friend and will be missed by me, Cliff, Jennifer and Freya. Rest easy, Linda.

  5. candleGrowing up with my cousin, Linda , in Brooklyn and at the summer cottage in Elmont was fun. Family BBQs on July 4th every year were special times . I will miss her..
