Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Lorraine had such compassion and kindness for everyone she met. I was so fortunate to have her as my roommate at D’Youville. As part of the Dollies we have shared wonderful memories over the years especially this past June when we had our reunion in Geneva,New Your. It’s something I will always treasure. Lorraine was a beautiful lady and I will miss her. With deep sadness and love, Jeana Waters

  2. candleMy heart aches along with all the family. We have definitely lost a special person in our lives. She’s been such a wonderful friend these past 58 years. She leaves a very large hole to fill. Love and condolences to you all! 💔

  3. Lorraine was a kind and caring person, and a dear friend. As one of the Dollies from D’Youville, I have known Lorraine for over 50 years. She was a very special woman who always had time for others. My heart goes out to her family and many friends. She will be missed.

  4. As another D’Youville Dollie I have known Lorraine since our very first day as freshman nursing students. She was my suite mate. There was never a more loving, caring, spiritual woman as Lorraine. Our hearts are broken. Love and prayers to you, her family

  5. Thank you so much ladies. I know that you will all miss her as we do. To Lorraine you are all family.

  6. Lorraine was the kindest woman and a great mentor. I worked with her very early on in my career and I’ll never forget her. I’m so sad. Thinking of you all.

  7. candleSo many wonderful memories to hold onto my dear friend and family member. God grant you ever lasting peace. You left a mark on this world.

  8. candleLorraine was very special to our family. My children knew her as “Miss Lorraine”, but she gifted us every special book that reminds us of their childhood– ‘Go Dog Go’ (we still ask “Do you like my hat?”), ‘I’ll Love You Forever” (which we put to song) and “The Busy World of Richard Scarry”. Lorraine sent special spontaneous notes to let us know she cared (even through our family’s losses) and reminded us that God was watching over us. Everything she shared had a deep tie to family, like special games and Mexican Dominos. Lorraine even took materials we got for her patchwork and gifted it back to us, something we now treasure. So much of her gift was bringing people together and modeling how important family was as a community. While we live further away, it was always clear to me through Debra and Brad how much she gave and gave. Others always came first and she never seemed to miss a beat. I enjoyed watching her bring Deb butterfly cake and the joy she took in her grandchildren. I am grateful to have known her and for the impact she has had on our family. Lorraine, you will be forever missed. In our hearts, Allison, Jeff, Hudson and Aria Eaby

  9. Dear Lorraine, Thank you so much for being my friend. I will never forget you. You were there through the good times and the not so good times.. You made every day better. Your perspective on life was so uplifting and will stay with us forever.. Peace my friend.

  10. From the moment we met Lorraine she was part of our family and our friend. She was the most thoughtful, generous and kind lady who we were proud to say was our daughter Debra’s mother-in-law. We marveled at the bond she had with her wonderful sons Brad and James and the love they shared. We had an even greater joy we shared at the birth of our grandsons and later more joy with the birth of Lauren and James’ children. Every visit was special because of Lorraine and her warm presence. She loved bringing us her special meals and bakery goodies. We have so many wonderful memories that began with Debra and Brad’s wedding. We look at her quilted gifts and think of her. Most importantly she taught our grandsons Brady and Owen to love playing games and when we all hold hands and say a prayer before meals we know Grandma Lorraine had a hand in that too. May she rest in peace with the Lord she loved so much.
