  2. My sincere condolences to Lorraine’s family.
I am so very saddened by this.💔
Lorraine was such a sweet, kind soul, and I am grateful to have known her.

May her memory forever be a blessing, a source of comfort and of joy to everyone…❤️🕊🙏
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!” 2 Corinthians 5:8

  3. candleI am so saddened to hear about the loss of Lorraine . I send my prayers and thoughts to the family during this time. Lorraine was one of the first people I met when I joined Coldwell Banker in Setauket and she was always a force in real estate and was always happy for others successes. When I left Coldwell and going Signature, I was surprised and happy to see her there and she was one of the first to greet me. May she Rest In Peace.

  4. My heart goes out to Joe and their children during this tragic and heartbreaking time. Lorraine and Joe had a relationship to admire. I was lucky to know her first within our childhood friend circle, and later as a fellow realtor. Lorraine was always so kind, warm, and genuine. It is truly shocking and devastating to hear of her passing. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers as Lorraine rests in peace with my dear friend, Dolores.

  5. We are completely shocked and saddened by Lorraine’s sudden passing. Lorraine and Joe have always had the most loving, devoted and joyful marriage. Our hearts are broken for you, Joe and your beautiful children. She was a bright light full of love, joy and generosity of spirit. She will be missed. Peace to you all as you go through this difficult time.

  6. I’m so sorry to hear this. Lorraine was such a beautiful sole and a wonderful person. I’m so grateful I had had the pleasure of knowing her for so many years. My sincerest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

    Cousin Joe and Marion

  8. I feel blessed that I knew Lorraine since I was a teenager.. My heart is so sad. Lorraine did so much for me when I lived on the island, including making sure I found an apartment when I didn’t think it would happen (which ended up being next door, what a blessing that was).. She was always the sweetest person going out of her way to give in any way she could. When I would come up for a visit, she would rearrange her schedule to make sure she got to see me and my family. I will miss you Lorraine and I’m praying for peace, comfort and faith for the entire family. Rest in peace beautiful soul.

  9. Lorraine was one of the sweetest women I have ever met. Her smile and kindness will be with me always. My sincere condolences to the family and friends who loved her dearly. She will be sorely missed :(.

  10. Joe our thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. Sending you love and strength at this difficult time. Love Cousin Amelia and John

  36. Dear Donna & Family,
I’m so deeply sorry to hear about your mom. You always spoke so highly of her and I know you two had a very special bond. Those beautiful and special memories will always be with you. Always know that you have a beautiful angel looking over you. Sending huge hugs, love and light your way. Love you! Darcy Blank

  38. I’m shocked and saddened to hear of Lorraine’s sudden passing. She was so full of life. We go back many years and it was so nice to have reconnected through real estate. Our whole family sends our heartfelt condolences to Joe, Michael and Donna.

  39. Lorraine helped me see that doing small things every day to help others and make them happy creates a larger impact than I could have ever imagined. When I first met Lorraine, she would often give things to Donna for me, and I would say things like, “Tell Mom she doesn’t need to get me anything.”

The more time I spent with the Marotta’s, the more I realized those little things Lorraine gave weren’t just gifts—they were a testament to her spirit. Lorraine truly enjoyed making others happy and making life a little easier for everyone each day.

In all my life, I have never met someone so thoughtful, thankful, and full of love. She would spend time with us after long days selling real estate; she would help take care of our dogs (Mazzi, Bruce and Bane) while we went to work—even though she was working just as much. She helped Donna and I plan fun things to do and surprised us every step of the way. We went on many great trips together and shared countless wonderful meals (always with dessert). Most recently she framed a photo of Donna and i and left it for us to see in her living room. she also brought us home dessert after going to work all day her nail appointment and then food shopping for an early thanksgiving meal. Lorraine ALWAYS made the time.

This all brings me to my point: Lorraine treated me like a son. I am forever grateful to have known her and her entire family. She did more for her family than I have ever seen anyone do—day in and day out, consistently. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and an amazing person in every sense of the word.

Joe, Michael, and my love Donna Marie—I am so sorry for your loss. If there is ever a time you need me, I will always answer the call. I know she is in a place of pure bliss and peace that we could never truly understand.

    Love,

    Sal Motta
