Louis Noe February 13, 1951 – March 5, 2025
Louis Noe, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 13, 1951, to Frank and Mae Noe, Lou grew up alongside his twin brother, Michael.
After graduating from East Meadow High School with his high school sweetheart Evelyn, Lou enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed outside of Nuremberg, Germany. Upon his discharge, he began working at Long Island Lighting Company while attending NYIT to pursue a degree in Business Administration. Lou spent his career in the insurance industry as a Risk Manager. Over the years he directed insurance programs for the Archdiocese of New York, Cablevision, Viacom and Breakthru Beverage. Lou was a friend among colleagues, a mentor to many and well-respected by all who worked with him.
A man of many passions, Lou had an unwavering love for fine wine, cooking, and good food, particularly Italian and French cuisine. He found great joy in planning and preparing meals, carefully selecting wine pairings, and gathering family and friends around the table to share the experience.
Lou was a devoted sports fan, cheering on the Yankees, the Rangers, and the Giants; though baseball always held the top spot in his heart. Lou was also an athlete himself – playing baseball, hockey and running track.
He was an avid gardener, and relished spending his weekends in the yard alongside his wife. He could often be found at the end of the day with a glass of wine admiring his handiwork. Lou enjoyed traveling the world with his family, especially to Europe, with Italy being his favorite destination.
Music was a constant in his life, spanning all genres. Despite being Italian through and through, he was known to start his Sunday mornings with Irish music. He also had a deep appreciation for Italian opera and took pride in collecting vinyl records.
Lou was known for his quick wit and his penchant for one-liners. You could always tell when one was coming by the smirk on his face.
Above all, Lou treasured his family. He was a devoted husband to Evelyn, a loving father to Michele Champion, Alison Mullee, and Jennifer Stineback, and a proud grandfather to James Ruggiero, Thomas and Louis Mullee, and Lila and Fiona Stineback. He was also a beloved father-in-law to Brian Champion, Jeff Stineback, and Tom Mullee.
Lou lived a life full of love, laughter, and incredible memories, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, hospitality, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

Charities
The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Louis Noe 's name.
Lou possessed a love of gardening, and an educated taste for good wine. Steve and I enjoyed his company. We send our expressions of condolences to Lou’s wife Evelyn, their daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren.
Great memories being at the Noe’s Lenox Ave house.
Always felt like family there.
Lou was always the steady one in the group, whether we were playing basketball at Prospect Park or hanging out. I remember fighting him for rebounds even though I was taller. He was a great athlete.
I remember going to Farmingdale College for welding with Lou in the fall 1973 . We had a great time learning to weld and driving to school. Lou always worked hard.
I am a better man for having spent time with Lou Noe. God Bless him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
Our Deepest condolences Michelle. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
#1 Christmas in Long Island, all of us kids would find the basement for some hockey and Uncle Lou would find his way downstairs and grab a stick to join in the fun while the adults were upstairs… some checking would occur..thank god for wood paneling
#2 my mom and dads 50th anniversary gathering, a baseball/wiffle ball game would take place..play at the plate between Uncle John and Uncle Lou sliding headfirst
#3 Friends if ours from Middletown, NY..the husband was in the entertainment industry and I mentioned my Uncle was a Risk Manager with Viacom..there was a pause and the gentlemen said who is your uncle? I said Lou Noe..for the next hour this man told me how respected Uncle Lou was and that everyone knew him…small world.
