Madeleine Floerke

Madeleine Floerke, age 67, of Miller Place passed away on Thursday May 5, 2016. Madeleine was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Lynbrook, NY. Madeleine is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Catherine Kaiser and two brothers Joseph and Harry Kaiser.Madeleine married William Floerke of Indianapolis, Indiana on June 28, 1969 and settled in Miller Place, NY. Madeleine worked at Saint John's hospital in Smithtown until she was blessed with the opportunity to become a stay at home mom and a homemaker. Later in life Madeleine brought joy to the lives of countless children when she was a Preschool teacher at Sound Beach Cooperative Preschool before moving onto her career as a Senior Account Clerk for the Suffolk County Department of Social Services. After retirement Madeleine enjoyed cooking, going to Casinos and spending time with her children and grandchildren.Madeleine is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Floerke, three children Maureen Weyer, Tammy Flannery and James Floerke, a son-in-law Tim Flannery and 4 grandchildren, Jonathan and Erik Flannery and William and Denise Weyer. Madeleine is also predeceased by one son-in-law Dennis Weyer. Friends and family may visit a the the Branch Funeral Home located at 551 Route 25A Miller Place, NY 11764 on Tuesday May 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Rocky Point, NY 11778 on Wednesday May 11 at 9:30.
