Maria Anna J. Chiarelli, 64, went to heaven on October 19, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She is at peace. Mary Ann, as she preferred to be called, as well as Mimi to her grandchildren, was born on June 6, 1953 in Jamaica, NY. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Mary Ann, despite her illnesses, lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed Sunday dinners with her parents, spending time with her daughters and her grandchildren, travelling, baking, and volunteering with her church, ST. Vincent De Paul. Mary Ann will be remembered by those that loved her as a strong, caring woman who was deeply devoted to her family. Family and friends are invited to Branch Funeral Home on East Main Street in Smithtown, NY on October 25th from 2-4pm or 7-9pm. Mass services will be held the following morning, at St. Mary Gate of Heaven Church, 101st Ave in Ozone Park, NY, with burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.   1. Mary Ann was a proud mother and grandmother who loved her sweets and soccer! I wish her peace and rest in heaven. We now have an angel to watch over us!

And stood up for what she believed in…we would debate fiercely, then smile and leave together…I considered her friend, and will miss seeing her smiling face in church and in volunteer service, and she will be greatly missed by many!
