Mary A. Tallini

Mary Annunziata Bruni was born on March 25, 1940, in Norcera Terinese, Calabria, Italy, to
Oreste and Guilia Bruni. She was the second youngest in a family of seven children. At the age
of 16, she immigrated to the United States in 1956, where she studied cosmetology and became a
licensed cosmetologist.
On June 28, 1959, she married Richard Tallini in Brooklyn, NY. They honeymooned in Niagara
Falls and eventually settled in Huntington, NY, where they raised three children: Dory Ann
(1962), Deborah (1964), and Richard (1969). Mary was a devoted homemaker, and their home
on Penelope Lane was always filled with the aroma of Sunday sauce and the sound of Italian
music. Her favorite songs were Mambo Italiano and Volare, which she loved to play as she
surrounded herself with family.
Mary found immense joy in her family, especially in the role of grandmother, with the arrival of
Amanda (1997), Matthew (1999), Nicholas (2001), Mya (2002), and Caroline (2006). She
cherished her time with loved ones, enjoyed vacations to Myrtle Beach, shopping, and watching
The Price is Right with her grandson Nicholas.
On November 28, 2024, Mary was embraced by God and reunited with her beloved husband,
Richard. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, family, and joy, which will live on through
her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her.
