Maureen Wasserman

maureen wasserman

May 26, 1951 ~ February 23, 2022

Born in: Brooklyn, NY
Resided in: Miller Place, NY

Maureen Wasserman of Miller Place, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and all-around beautiful human, passed away peacefully in her home on February 23rd, 2022. Maureen was survived by her husband, Mark Wasserman; children, Brian (daughter-in-law Betty), Andrew, and Emily; brothers, Tom, Gerard, and Dennis; as well as many, many friends.
The most important part of her life was her family. She would give anything to see a smile on your face. Maureen is known for her giving nature, creative ventures, gourmet cooking, entertaining, and various collections. If you were to tell Maureen that you loved her new hand-made hat, you could be sure you would receive one of your own (in the color of your choosing) in only a few days.
Born in Brooklyn to Marie and Thomas Hesse, she was the eldest of 4 siblings. Maureen studied to earn her RN degree, which led her to meet her husband of 46 years. Mark, who was interning at Nassau County Medical Center, was enchanted by the beautiful nurse whom he asked to lunch, and the rest is history. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
